One of the main things that holds artists back from progressing the way they want to, is failing to treat themselves like a BUSINESS! For music to take you the places you want to go, it has to MAKE MONEY! You wouldn’t just open a brick & mortar store, invest all your time, money and effort into it, just sit in your office hoping people come in and everything goes right. To enter the music BUSINESS... you have to treat it as such. You can make the most incredible music in the world, shit you could even have that music generate MILLIONS but if your paperwork and business aren’t in order you may never see a cent.

The main goal of this blog is to give y'all a step by step playbook on how to approach this industry confidently and strategically. You MUST have peace of mind to be able to make your best music and to have that peace... your business has to be handled!

“The record business. It’s exactly what it is the Record-Business. You have to take care of both, or they won’t take care of you.” - Dr. Dre

I'll go into further detail on these steps in later posts. I encourage YOU to research more into anything you don't understand within this post! This is just a basic checklist for making sure your back end is in order before your next release! COPY IT AND PUT IN YOUR NOTES!!!

NO ONE DOES IT ALONE: BUILDING A TEAM

Trust me when I tell you, I’ve fucked up more time and money than I can put into words by trying to be “self-sufficient”. Don’t get me...
